Tell us a little about yourself, what you do for a living, what hobbies / interests / passions you have
I am a Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, Nutrition Consultant, Gymnastics Instructor, and an overall health/fitness coach! My business is called “WheelerFit” and I love helping and pushing others to really go beyond what they think they could do. I think everyday you need to give it your all while building inner and outer strength to be the best you can be. For fun I am pretty laid back and like to hangout, walk downtown, watch movies, rock climb, hiking, and gymnastics. I’d love to live on a beach someday, specifically in Hawaii, while running my personal training business there! That is going to happen one day J

Why did you become vegan?
I became vegan after watching the movie, “Fork Over Knifes.” It hit me by what can reverse by going vegan. The health benefits excited me to try it out- People came off their medications, normal blood pressure levels, lowered cholesterol, internal detoxification , efficient digestive system, ect. while reversing and stopping diseases and obesity. I made the decision as I walked out of the movie to commit to the Vegan lifestyle and my life has changed since then.
When and why did you become interested in fitness?
I was a gymnast at age 6 and was in it for a few years and then went back to it in high school in which during high school I joined a gym and did workout DVDs, and was hooked since! I think I became interested in it because of my gymnastics background and enjoyed it!

How would you describe your nutrition program?
My nutrition program is strict. I have a lot of food sensitivities so I avoid gluten and allergic to peanuts and don’t tolerate nuts in general that well. I do my own meal planning and do oats, lots of vegetables, protein powders, coconut oil, rice, tofu, temphe. I not too creative just very strict on portions, timings, and being BALANCED. It’s a true fact- Abs are made in the kitchen!
How would you describe your training program?
My training program is broken up to a 5 day split. I like to work a muscle group at a time when weight training and break a sweat doing cardio 6x/week. I do gymnastics 1x/week and Flexibility Everyday!
What kind of supplements do you use if any, and why?
I use quite a bit- Aloe Vera, probiotics, flaxseed oil, apple cider vinegar, vitamin D, B complex, garlic and more. It depends on my goals at the moment but those ones above are pretty consistent.

What do you think the most important aspect of training is?
Consistency, commitment, Hard work and Self Discipline are all top traits in order to show up , give it your best, prioritizing your health, and practicing self discipline every other minute with temptations that could backfire your goal(s).
What do you like best about being vegan?
I like how cleansed out I feel! Being vegan definitely provides enough fiber for daily detoxification, resulting in more energy and glowing skin!
What do you like best about being fit?
What advice do you have for people who are just starting out with training?
You need to commit and be on some kind of structured nutrition and training plan and schedule. Too many things can get in the way and disrupt, but if you commit and dedicate yourself to the plans , then you are IN and setting yourself up to success.

What advice do you have for people who are thinking of becoming vegan?
If you are thinking about becoming vegan I would pick up a copy of Robert Cheeke’s Vegan Bodybuilding and Fitness Book, watch Fork Over Knifes, watch Food Matters, and any documentaries/books to get EDUCATED on Veganism and then living the Vegan lifestyle will become easy. Because you want to make sure you are in 100% so see what it is about and make your decisions based on what you learn. But in my opinion, there is not one moment where I regret the choice I made!

What motivates you in life?
God. God is the way, the truth, and the life J I don’t know where I’d be without Him. I give all glory and honor to Jesus Christ. He keeps me going strong every morning to night!
