  1. I know a lot of people on these boards display somewhat anti-supplement sentiments, but I thought I had to ask anyways. I'm looking for a better pump while working out, and I'm considering taking a Nitric Oxide supplement...yes I know it's not essential...but I was wondering two things: 1. Are most Nitric Oxide supplements vegan? (here's a sample of whats in NO Explode http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bsn/xplode.html) 2. Do any of you take an NO supplement? If you do, does it live up to its claim of increased blood flow and better pumps? -PRESKO
  2. I'm currently only using soy isolate protein powder, but i was also wanting to incorporate some hemp, gemma, and rice into the mix. I was wondering to there are any pros or cons relating to, say, drinking ONE shake with a little bit of all 4 (soy, gemma, hemp, and rice)? Is there a benefit to only using one type at a time, or does it not matter at all since it all ends up in the same place anyways? I guess I was thinking more along the lines of food combining and if that has any relevance here?
  3. what is your optimal time for resting between sets? i read in a book by arnold that it should be no more than 60 seconds. i shoot for about 45 seconds? anyone else?
  4. i noticed that too. i used to train at least a couple hours a day and i hardly made any gains. i'm now trying to focus on training in less time, more intensity and volume, and shorter rests in between sets. i was just wondering what you all consider YOUR normal amount of time that you donate for strength training. i cut back from 2 hours to 1 hour.
