  1. Sunday, monday, tuesday... Completed days 7, 8 and 9 of the 30 day yoga challenge! Headed to muay-thai on monday before yoga, and that was a great workout.. Great conditioning with lots of pushups, thai crunches and plank. Throughout that class there well over 100 squats performed. On monday my boyfriend surprised me with brendans whole foods cookbook! I am thrilled to have it and can't wait to start trying things out of it, seeing as the thrive diet book had some great recipies! Big workout day today
  2. Just finished class 6 of 30 of hot yoga... Today there were 60 people taking the class, so the heat was insane!!! Can't remember the last time I sweat that much! Headed home now to eat some brown rice with nutritional yeast, soy sauce, pumpkin seeds and avacado! Writting an exam today for my nutrition course, so the yoga helped to relax me for it. Happy training all!
  3. So today was day 5 of the 30 day yoga challenge! Today instead of hot yoga I took a Yin yoga class... Which was focussing all on stretching, holding poses on the ground for 3-5 mins each. It was fantastic. It feels great to get a good stretch in! I took my measurments: Waist: 36 Hips: 39 Bust:36 Weight: 153 Height: 5'6 Bright and early training day tomorrow.
  4. Day 4 of hot yoga challenge... I'm starting to enjoy the classes more each time I go! I'm sure its going to turn to love at this rate. Most difficut part... Staying quit for 90 mins! I enjoy talking! Lol Before heading to yoga I had an hour muay-thai class. A lot of cardio and burn out rounds today...so lots of shoulder work! Going to buy all new gear for sparring next week, and I'm pretty pumped for that! I said in my journal yesterday I'd take measurments today, but that's going to have to wait till tomorrow now... Goodnight everyone!
  5. On January 2nd I started a 30 day hot yoga challenge... Must complete 30 classes in 30 days! Today was class 3... Even only 3 classes in I'm already feeling improvment! I don't think I've ever sweat so much as in one of those classes.. Its fantastic! And I'm feeling pain in many various places! My goal with this hot yoga challenge is to increase my flexibility, and to be able to center myself well. After yoga, headed to the gym to do a leg workout, which left me starving. I work at freshii... A healthy fast food restaurant with vegan options, so I had a brown rice bowl with: edemame, walnuts, almonds, corn, carrots, mushrooms, chickpeas, avacado, tofu, spinach and peanut sauce. I'm looking forward to sleep tonight... Tomorrow I will take all my measurments and such! I read a line I loved... "Eat clean, train dirty.".
  6. My first post in my online fitness journal of the year! yay Yesterday was a fantastic workout day... Went to the gym for morning cardio... half hour on the treadmill, 40 minutes on the recumbent bike... so i could study at the same time (wooo multi tasking!) Then went to my muay-thai class for an hour... Then an hour hot yoga class. I was very tired by the end to say the least! During my work out i ate: I made my own energizing drink, using some protein, banana, creatine, blueberries, oats, bcaa, almond milk. my protein shake had hemp protein, flax seed, chia seed, orange juice, soymilk, glutamine. an oatmeal bar, and half a hemp protein bar. Today on january 3rd... more of a relaxing day, 90 min hot yoga class... Off to work
  7. Thank you Robert!! Your book was quite the inspiration, couldn't put it down! I show it to everyone who ever questions the vegan lifestyle with working out!! Im so glad you wrote it! -Gabby
  8. Hey everyone! Its fantastic to join a group of people with the same beliefs towards health, and protecting our animal friends! Been Vegan for 6 years, originally for my love of animals. I am studying holistic nutrition in school, and discovering so many more health benefits to this lifestyle that make me even more proud of this way of life I have chosen! I look forward to sharing my next 30 days of fitness and nutrition with everyone, and reading about all of your success! Happy new year everyone!!!
