  1. Two weeks on my 90-day challenge. Going strong: http://mysticmerman.blogspot.com/2012/07/day-14-juice-it-loose.html
  2. Thanks Fallen-Horse. Yes, it's going really well. I feel like I'm losing fat, even though I've only lost about 3 pounds in 11 days. My strength training is coming along nicely, so I think I'm gaining muscle. Here's my latest blog: http://mysticmerman.blogspot.com/2012/07/day-11-knowing-when-to-rest.html Mystic Merman
  3. Day 9 was awesome. Read about it on my blog: http://mysticmerman.blogspot.com/2012/07/day-9-strong-momentum.html
  4. Hello everyone, I haven't been very active on this forum, but I'd like to get started. I've taken a 90-day challenge to build more muscle, lose fat, gain strength and get healthier. My diet is going to be high raw (80% or more), all vegan and gluten-free, with a focus on foods that are low glycemic. You can either follow my blog on Facebook or on my actual blog. Here are the links: http://www.facebook.com/MysticMerman http://mysticmerman.blogspot.com/ I would also like to check in with my progress here. Cheers! Mystic Merman
  5. Thanks, Kareno. I still need to get oriented to the forum. I agree with you about being a good example is great outreach. Thanks for the welcome.
  6. Thanks Robert. San Diego is a great place. We have quite a few vegan options, including a new restaurant that just opened up called Casa de Luz, which started in Austin, Texas. Their menu is all vegan, organic and whole food. Thanks again for the welcome. I look forward to being part of this group.
  7. Hi. New to the group from San Diego, California. I've been a vegetarian for over twenty years (vegan for about half that), but mostly for animal rights issues. Over the last several years, I've become more interested in nutrition, whole food, raw, etc. In the last year, I've decided to get into shape and have been going to the gym fairly regularly. All the vegan bodybuilding exposure in the media lately has really piqued my interest in getting into really great shape for the first time in my life. I'm 43 and feel better than I've felt in years. I have a long way to go, but I'm motivated and have a good foundation in nutrition. I'm here to learn and share my progress. Thank you for creating this forum.
