  1. Hi Michelle, Just wanted to say how much of an inspiration you have been. I'm not looking to compete, just eat healthy and get in good shape and your nutrition information has been really helpful. Thanks so much!!! I noticed that you work in a hospital, are you by chance a nurse??? I am a nurse on an oncology unit working night shift, and it's great to see someone in such great shape who does shift work too! Thanks!
  2. Hi! I've been vegan for almost 2 years now, it's been tough lately because I'm in grad school and working, and now I am having low energy levels and I'm iron deficient (not anemic). Just ordered some Vega products to help make it easier to get the nutrition I need. My main problems: 1. Low iron 2. Low energy 3. gained 10 lb, and having a hard time losing it 4. My husband is having the opposite problem, lost 20 pounds, having a hard time eating enough to maintain/gain muscle mass. Makes it hard to meal plan since I'm the one doing basically all of the cooking I was trying to decrease my carb intake and up my protein, but having a hard time doing that without straight eating tofu/tempeh every day (can't have too much seitan because too much gluten upsets my stomach). Most carbs come from veggies, beans, lentils (unless i"m really bad and indulge in my sweet tooth). Any suggestions? Thanks! PS. Is there a thread here for the females? No offense guys, but would love to easily see what the ladies are up to.
  3. Hello! I've been a vegan for almost 2 years now, though I have to admit that I sometimes relapse with dairy/eggs when eating out. I haven't paid too much to my nutrition, just thought I was eating healthy by virtue of being vegan but I like to bake..... Basically I'm hoping that this forum will help me better understand how to support my body and maintain my energy levels. Both my husband and I work out quite a bit, and we both realize that in order to get in shape the way we want to, we have to up our game nutrition wise. In two years I'll become a nurse practitioner and both my husband and I hope to help people achieve health and wellness through healthy, plant based eating. I'm excited to be a part of this great community and look forward to learning from everyone! Kim
