  1. I often can't take a meal break for 7 or 8 hours,so I carry around carrots, apples and a bowl of grapes to eat on while I am working. Then I cook when I get home.
  2. Thanks Gaia, Kora, and superman1234. Superman, where I can I find those seaweed snacks you are talking about? Kora, I have tried finding dry-roasted edamame at the local grocery stores, but I have had no luck. Do you normally get it at the farmer's market?
  3. My apologies for not posting a reply to this for a while. I was having some problems with my computer. I got some of that Garden of Life RAW protein powder. I am going to try mixing it with almond milk and a banana for a post-workout drink. Does that sound okay?
  4. Thanks Kora. Thanks C.O. My apologies for taking so long to reply to this. I had been having computer trouble for a little while.
  5. I am busy working with clients sometimes up to eight hours straight, with no breaks during the day. I need some kind of bars or other snack food to tie me over until I can get home and eat dinner. I currently get most of my food from juicing. I am losing weight (on purpose) and need to keep that going, but I want to get away from eating meat altogether. Does anyone have any suggestions for healthy snacking food with no refined sugar? I already juice a lot of fruit with my greens and don't want to over-do that. Thanks!
  6. Thanks Gaia. I will definitely look into trying some of this. I have a delicate stomach. Have you ever heard of plant proteins bothering someone's digestion?
  7. I am new to all of this except lifting weights, and I have only recently gotten back into it lifting after years of being inactive. I am trying to switch to a diet that consists of mostly raw fruits and vegetables. The majority of my food intake comes from juicing. Does anyone here have any recommendations as far as plant protein powders? Thank you. Carl
  8. Hello. My name is Carl. I am male. I am in my mid-forties, and I am gradually trying to adapt to a diet of fruits and vegetables. I have started lifting weights(again) 3 days a week and doing cardio 2 or 3 days a week. Right now I get most of my food from juicing raw fruits and vegetables, but I am still eating chicken or fish about once a day. Mainly in the evening, so that my stomach is full enough that it doesn't keep my awake all night. I would like some suggestions for my evening meals to replace the meat. Here is an example of how I have been eating and what I had today. Breakfast:I Juiced spinach, avacado, mango, raspberries, half an orange and 1/8 cup of cashews. Lunch:I Juiced the same as breakfast. snack:Bowl of Grape Nuts cereal with a little skim milk. Dinner: Baked chicken breast, raw spinach with a little extra virgin olive oil I am losing 2 or 3 pounds a week(I have a lot to lose) and recuperating from my weightlifting workouts just fine, as far as I can tell. My main concern is getting enough protein when I phase out the meat.I don't want to eat anything fattening like rice or pasta. Any recommendations for my evening meals will be appreciated. Thank you.
