http://www.elephantjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/tofu-love-300x269.jpg Match.com was a fairly decent resource for veg*ns doing online dating. Match.com had two useful features: a “daily diet” listing on personal ads and an accurate keyword search. The “daily diet” profile listing would allow you to list your “daily diet” as “vegetarian”. This was great for finding profiles of potential dates who were vegetarian, vegan, or veg*n-friendly. Match.com had key words you could associate with your profile that acted like an index. The keyword “vegan” on your profile would help others find your profile and you to find others by clicking on the keyword “vegan” o…

In my student years, I was fond of sports, namely running and jumping. About six months ago, I started going to the gym to lose weight and tone my body. And now I set myself a goal - to sit on the splits. But I need to find a stretching coach to help me with this. Who can I contact?

Hello everyone. I wanted to know what type of beard oil I should use and how often I should apply it (a little every day or before I shampoo/wash my beard). Any tips or recommendations are appreciated. Also, what do you guys think about oil sold as "beard oil at beardoholic oil?" Should I stay away from some and only buy them after looking at which oils are in them (if so could you guys list a brand name or the type of oils you look for) or should I go for something like aragon oil (which is branded as "beard oil," but I heard it could be used for your beard?

One of the notable features of Sitges' property market is the range of options available. From historic and charming townhouses nestled in the narrow winding streets of the old town to luxurious seaside villas with private pools and gardens, there's something to suit every taste. This diversity makes Sitges a versatile destination for buyers looking for primary residences, vacation homes, or investment properties. Additionally, the town's location, just a short drive from Barcelona and its international airport, adds to its convenience and accessibility. Properties for sale in Sitges, a charming coastal town in Catalonia, Spain, offer a unique opportunity for both ho…

Basically I hit the weights and strength training on certain days, and practice Hung Gar on other days. For those of you who also practice martial arts, tell me how you incorporate these two types of training?

Anyone interested? My favorite team, the Phoenix Suns, didn't make it to the playoffs this year, but I'm still watching just as closely. I have a feeling it will come down to a rematch of 2007 I believe it was, between the Big 3 in San Antonio and Lebron. This year, I will predict a Spurs vs. Heat Final with the Spurs winning it all. I really like OKC and Chicago is strong. Clippers are fun to watch and cheer for the the Lakers are the most fun to cheer against! Memphis has some awesome fans! What say you?

Is there anyone here who ever did logging sports?

I've never done logging sports but I have done a two highland games competitions. The logging sports seem kind of fun...especially the tree climb and ax throw but some of the cutting events just seem really wasteful...we waste enough wood as is...we don't need to do it for fun that lasts 30 seconds.

I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on making equipment used to practice striking... Punching bag alternatives, so to say. If anyone caught the Karate episode of the Human Weapon, I thought the wood coming out of the ground that was used for practicing punches was pretty good; though, I think it's more complicated than just sticking a 2x2 stick of wood into the ground - does anyone know how one would go about making something like that? and something for kicking, as well?

Has anyone attempted Yogilates at all?(or heard of it) I've practiced it a number of times, it's just a complimentary combination of Yoga and Pilates into one session/class. Personally.. I didn't enjoy it as much as doing each seperately.. They are soo incredibly different(especially the breathing), it's hard to equally combine the two into something that actually flows.. Pilates can be a very profound and deep exercise, but Yoga is more spiritually based, & I just don't feel the two mix as well as some might. One of my Pilates IT's(instructor trainers) had gone to a Yogilates school on the east coast, and she absolutely loved it, and teaches it to this day(…

Hello to all New Yorkers. I used to be active in sports, trained in the gym. When I started working, I didn't have time to go to the gym, so I took a short break in my sports activities. In the summer and when the weather is good outside, I ran in the morning. And now I want to start attending sports classes. Maybe it would be good to try yoga or tabata training. But I don't know where such sports are held, maybe you can tell me?

I lift weights, as you can see in my blog and so on. I was wondering if anyone has got anything to help sports that involve lots of little (3 minute) bursts? Mostly around not getting so knackered during.

I have been trying for nearly two years now to get a tight, flat stomach.....with no success. I have lost weight but I still can't get rid of my 'muffin tope' that spills over my jeans. This really gets me down so I have been considering liposuction. Can anyone thing of a way I could achieve my goals without expensive surgery?

I have been riding my mountain bike on the bike trail lately and I noticed something very ironic. There are a lot of hefty people on carbon fiber bicycles and super tight cloths to counter air resistance. They don't seem to be working very hard and they probably don't have a heart rate much higher than a brisk walk. I am sure it is better that they are out doing something rather then watching TV, but it boggles my mind why they want to make it so easy. I wonder if they are putting there stats in something like Fitday which says if they bike for an hour, they burn X number of calories. But they have made it so easy, that they are probably burning half that. It mak…

I recently got into eating 80/10/10 diet and i start to notice feeling hungry all the time, after researching for a while i realize why. Basically, fruits are low in fiber but high in water content, hence why your stomach feels full. However, fructose are easily digest, so when you eat tons of fruits, what happen is that it gets absorb and digested easily and you shit them all out within an hour. So how you do solve the hungry issues? Well, if you need energy, eat tons of fruits for quick boost of energy. However, if you want a more stable diet with less hunger, then simply eat more black beans. Black beans are complex carbohydrates and VERY high in fibers. Eatin…
