Hello everyone! Some of you might not be aware of simple actions that go a long way in supporting this website. I fund it all myself and it can get expensive at times with the tours and promotions, give-aways and programs, and paying those who help run and maintain the website. I want to inform you of ways you can contribute to this wonderful resource by doing things you already do. Here are some easy ways to support this forum and http://www.veganbodybuilding.com: 1. If you already use Vega products, please consider ordering from any of the 4 stores I work with. When these stores order from Vega, I get commission. I've been working with Vega for 6 years and these…

This thread is dedicated to bodybuilding diets. Everyone can add their experience, tips, advice on how to gain muscle and/or lose bodyfat. Later maybe i'll split the topic, but for now, let's have both in one. Feel free to add your ideas. It's possible that you have different opinions on things, but please don't discuss in this thread. The purpose of this thread is to be a source of information on vegan BB diets. For a start, here are my thoughts on BB diet. Everyone who does BB wants to either build up mass or lose bodyfat, or both, preferably. There are many opinions around how to do it best. Obviously, the exact plan depends on the individuals starting point.…

Hey everyone. My roommate and I just had a really cool experience. So we just moved into our new apartment this week, and yesterday my roommate told me to come out of my room and see this huge eagle that was perched in the tree right beside our house. We went on our balcony and see a bald eagle came and joined it. One of them flew right by us, I’ve never seen an eagle so close before. I told my dad about it and he said it was a good sign. Does anyone know the spiritual symbolism of eagles and why they might appear?

Food is the fuel for muscle growth For years, protein powders have been a common dietary supplement used by bodybuilders and other athletes in training. The prevailing theory among these groups has been that the additional muscle-building properties of protein powder would provide them with a competitive advantage. Knowing that protein is the key raw material involved in the repair, preservation and growth of muscle tissue, bodybuilders, in particular, believe that the protein supplied in powder is an economical way to get large amounts of protein, more easily absorbed — and that more is better to achieve their lean muscle mass goals. These fallacies have made their…

Hello. I recently found myself pondering a question regarding non-alcoholic wine and thought this forum would be the perfect place to seek some insights. While I'm quite familiar with traditional wines and their characteristics, I must admit that I'm relatively new to the world of non-alcoholic alternatives. My question pertains to the taste and quality of non-alcoholic wines compared to their alcoholic counterparts. Specifically, I'm curious to hear about your experiences with non-alcoholic wines. Have you found them to be satisfactory substitutes for traditional wines in terms of flavor, aroma, and overall enjoyment? Are there any particular brands or varieties that sta…

Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to the area and looking for recommendations on a good weed dispensary nearby. I've heard there are several options, and I want to make an informed choice. What factors do you consider when selecting a dispensary? Are there any specific places you've had positive experiences with in terms of product variety, quality, or customer service? I'm particularly interested in hearing about places that offer a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers. Any insights you can share would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this new aspect of the community.

Just a question if my mental health might disqualify me from a CCW. I've been on the same psychiatric medication for 20 years, never been adjudicated as mentally "defective", have two college degrees, a successful career, no drugs, no alcohol, no criminal record, excellent credit, married, no kids, and no speeding tickets for the last five years. I purchased the pistol I want to get a CCW license for with no issues. When I filled out the questionnaire I marked down "Yes" for the mental health question, and explained that I had received counseling for the passing of a loved one several months ago. The text box on the application had a character limit, otherwise I guess I c…

Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know that The Thrive Diet is now available in the US. It’s exactly the same as the Canadian version; except for the cover design and that the US version is hardcover. I’m told that it's available at Barnes & Nobel as well as Borders and most Whole Foods. Although it might not have found its way into some stores just yet. The US version of the site is up and there's lots of info on it: http://www.brendanbrazier.com/book/index.html Hope you like it, Brendan

Hey all. I have come to very much respect and appreciate the insight and (majority) of opinions on here. As mentioned in my introductory post, I kind of "have" cancer. It's a skin cancer (malignant melanoma, the one that CAN kill people...) that was excised (cut out) a bit over a year ago. I've had two ct scans since then, but my oncologist has wanted me to get a petscan since this whole thing happened. The surgery went fine, my sentinal node (the closest node to the site of the cancer- if the cancer is in there, it's bad news...) came back negative and subsequent scans have shown no new growth. So, now I need to get another scan. The Ctscans are covered by my insu…

Hi. I only recently found out about xylitol's supposed dental health benefits. I stopped off at the health food shop yesterday & picked up some xylitol gum, mints & granules to try after meals. So far results are positive. I read, though, that the insulin response caused in non-primate animals can be so severe as to lead to death if not treated. It sounds as though dogs in particular have sadly been the victims here It's reported as being safe for humans though. Low gi index, slow release. Can have laxative effect if eat too much. So far I've found: Teeth feel squeaky clean after use, & there's no strange after taste. Too good to be true? Anyone tried th…

Hey everyone, I'm deeply intrigued by the idea of somatic experiences and how they intertwine with the vibrant energy of New York City. As a resident here, I find myself constantly stimulated by the city's sights, sounds, and sensations. I'm curious to know if any of you have explored practices of New York City Somatic within this urban landscape. How do you navigate somatic experiences amidst the hustle and bustle of NYC? Are there specific places or activities you find conducive to fostering a deeper connection with your body in this dynamic environment?

Help me! Heading to Orlando FL tomorrow, staying at the Parc Soleil. Beyond heading to Epcot and partaking of Japanese food, where the heck else is good? Key things: HEALTHY FOOD. Also, healthy food. Did I mention healthy food? I'm back into P90X, crafting my own balanced schedule, and have been pretty active with a ton of walking/running around/up and down stairs, you name it. Goal is weight loss, toning, strength/endurance building, health. Yes, I'm demanding but we're HERE, right? Thanks!
