garth
Hi I stumbled across this forum when I was looking to "clean bulk" and read this http://www.veganbodybuilding.com/handout_sample.pdf and was wondering how many calories they contained in general like the individual foods and meal plans as a whole? Thanks!

C.O.
Good question. I haven't added them up, so I'm not sure. In general, a breakdown of caloric intake from certain foods looks like this: “Healthy Foods” Salad = 100 calories per poundVegetables = 200 calories per poundFruits = 300 calories per poundStarches (potatoes, rice, beans) = 500 calories per poundNuts and seeds = 2,000-2,500 calories per pound “Popular Foods” Cheese = 1,700 calories per poundChocolate = 1,800 calories per poundPotato chips/fries = 2,500 calories per poundIce Cream = 3,000 calories per poundOil (pure fat) = 4,000 calories per pound Therefore, looking at the specific foods like fruit or lentil soup can give us some sort of ballpark figure based on the quantity we consume with our best guess as to how that volume relates to pounds. Hope that helps a little. - Robert Cheeke-- Author of the Amazon.com Best-Selling Book Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness
