I’m 36, went vegan about 2 years ago, was cycling about 100km/week so combined with the new diet I lost all the fat I accumulated over the years. I lost about 20 pounds (I was 6” 180 pounds) so without the fat I was then pretty skinny at 160. I wanted to gain muscle weight, was tired of the "skinny vegan" stereotype, so last summer I went to bodyweight exercices. Over the course of six months I gained 15 pounds, went from 1 dips to 20+ (and about 12 rings dips). Went from 0 dead hang pull ups to 8. Unfortunately, in mid-december I injured a shoulder/chest while playing with the kids and trained on top of that the same day… so the injury got worse and now it’s been almost 4 months I can’t do nothing related to shoulder/chest… Hope to get back on track ASAP, I can’t stand anymore being forced to not working out… I’m glad to join your community !
