bodyartt
This is about pushups only, so please let's not talk about bench etc. When I do wide grip pushups, I feel the burn in my delts. Close grip pushups - burn in triceps. But I don't feel the burn in my chest, no soreness. But shouldn't pushups (whether wide grip or close grip) work the chest automatically? Then why is it I dont feel the burn? I don't feel strong enough to do weighted pushups, and besides that's only for advanced people. I assumed even regular pushups would give the burn....... VeganBadass_CO
maybe check your posture? Thinking if you let your hips drop down, the movements may work more shoulder than chest (kind of like going downward dog to upward dog..more shoulder/tris than chest). I feel wide-pushups along the outer/sides of my pecs. Close (e.g. diamond) pushups equally in my tris and my lower/inner pecs. Curious to see what other responses you get.
