bodyartt
If I do legwork like squats or deadlifts my body feels tired. Sometimes I even get fever the next day probably because my body cant take the strain. So do I just focus on upper body and ignore legs?

James
You don't want to be 'that guy' (and every gym has one) who's got an impressive upper body but legs like a 5 year old girl. There's no getting away from the fact that squats are tough - if you've not squatted before then your body will be in a state of shock for a few weeks whilst it gets used to the added strain. Make sure your technique is good and keep at it.
HIT Rob
The fatigue your experiencing from those movements is systemic, but that's a good thing, muscle growth for the most part happens systemically, not just from localized movements. Heavy leg and back training has improved my power and strength throughout my entire body. As the late great Paul Anderson said "the legs and back of the seed of all strength". muchidna
personally i really like the feeling from leg exercises, i used to do them after uni, probably around 5-6pm, was a relaxing/euphoric feeling almost for me
