Creatine - Take it in constantly?

Hey everybody,

I am new to this forum. Hope it is alright to start a new creatine post...

My question is whether you take in creatine constantly? Would you recommend it?

Since I became a vegan I am asking myself whether it would make sense to take in creatine without any breaks. Every day, every month, every year...

Vegans don't have any other creatine sources than supplements, right?

This might be an argument for taking it in regularly. Usually there is the problem that your body stops synthesizing creatine, when receiving too much supplement.

Since I don't take in any creatine through nutrition (meat, fish), I could maybe make up for it through a regular creatine supplement.

What are your experiences? What would be your advise for me?

best

Erik

Welcome to the forum, great to have you here buddy

I like creatine and do incorporate it quite often, not so much when I am running but definately when I am lifting and trying to gain strength and/or size.

Make sure you keep your water intake up when you are using it, I'd be aiming for at least 10g per day and opt for the micronised powder over regular monohydrate. If you have a sensitive stomach then the Kre-Alkalyn capsules are also pretty good.
