davidjamesdip
Have any guys on here tried the 80/10/10 diet with success? I've been seeing it mentioned in serval posts but have no clue what in really entails. Can anyone recommend any books that would be worth a read? ThanksDavid
C.O.
Its been discussed a lot here, try using the search key in the upper right hand corner to see past threads about 80 10 10.
davidjamesdip
I have and the info I've found the posts are mostly about users concerned with weather or not they are getting enough protein/calories as it doesn't seem to agree with everyone. But I haven't seen anything from guys trying the diet or an explanation of what it is. That's why I asked the question.
lepiante
Have you read my response on that thread? 80/10/10 doesn't have enough whole food plant fats to build the nervous system and to produce hormones. I've tried it for a week and never felt worse in my life. I like fruit in good proportions however I feel better consuming ripe California avocados, hemp seeds, flax seeds, etc.. with an abundance of leafy greens, tomatoes, bell peppers etc.. Find what works for you.
davidjamesdip
Thanks, I was concerned that there might not be enough protein for someone who's trying to pack on lean muscle mass...

superman1234
80/10/10 is but one variation of a raw food diet. Another variation is "sprouted" vegan. Incidentally sprouted lentils have more protein and are a more complete protein than cooked.
