Siren
Hey, do any of you guys track your calories on the app Myfitnesspal? What are your goals in terms of macronutrients? Do you log in every day? Edited June 21, 2018 by Siren
Eiji
1. No to my fitness pal 2. Eat enough whole food to sustain my training and improve. I'm not too worried about macros anymore but focus on calories overall. Most people eat way too much protein. 3. I log my training here everyday and make sure to leave opinionated remarks on other threads. 4. As for motivation. I'm pretty self motivated but also look to YouTube videos on the training that interests me. I like calisthenics and powerlifting. The channels I like the most for calisthenics: FitnessFAQs and Calisthenicsmovement. Powerlifting: Alan Thrall. Diet: nutritionfacts.org, plantpositive. Siren
Thanks for the tips, Eiji. I love watching youtube videos for motivation as well and I'll check out the ones you mentioned. And nutritionfacts.org is my favorite for nutrition tips as well!
jmf
I use myfitnesspal, and yes, I use it every day. Everybody's macro requirements are different, so mine wouldn't necessarily apply to you. I'm using 40/30/30 c/p/f and currently lean gaining...my wife is using something like 35/30/35 and losing weight with a calorie deficit. I log my training in a notebook, and use it as a baseline to "beat" on each subsequent workout. (edit: c and p was flipped...lol)
