Maxwellquick
Hey guys ! So I am vegetarian for like 5 years and vegan for one year. I don't have weight to lose at all but I wanna be more toned, so I started to do a lot of sport (6 days per week, for one or two hours) since november but I don't have the results I want, it's better but it's so damn slow ... When I see that some girls in 4 months change totally their body, I am super disappointed by me. I mean I feel my abs but the little layer of fat on it doesn't wanna leave xD . So I started the Insanity Challenge, I begin the 3rd week and I hope now I will see results soon, but someone has an ideo of what I could do wrong ? Thanks you =)
VeganCutie
Hey , why don't you try Jamie Eason live fit program ? My friend really toned her body by doing it , also i don't know know about insanity cause I quit at 7 weeks but I lost 0 lbs doing it even though I was working so hard , i wasn't fat & just needed toning up so I figured weight training is the solution cause my belly just never go away , I always had that fat layer that won't go away, check out my progress so far viewtopic.php?f=48&t=36349&start=15 I'm not saying that I made huge progress or I'm an expert now but I can see changes on my waist area & I'm so happy, also I cut off on fruits& I won't stop till I have the best body good luck! Maxwellquick
Thanks for your answer and nice progress =) ! I will do Insanity until the end for proving myself I can do it and I hope I will get resultst =) . The Jamie Eason fit program seems cool but it's a DVD or you just find it on internet ? The links I find on google are weird xD . I don't know if it's what I eat the problem .. I still eat fruits but only the morning and at noon. And I can't eat 5 times a day with the college, so it's 3 meals per day with a snack after my workout (I do my own protein bars).
HIT Rob
Hey guys ! So I am vegetarian for like 5 years and vegan for one year. So I started the Insanity Challenge, I begin the 3rd week and I hope now I will see results soon, but someone has an ideo of what I could do wrong ? Thanks you =) Hi there, Yes, your overtraining... Do two things to remedy this... 1. Increased the intensity of your training.2. Reduced the volume and frequency of your training considerably (no more than 2-3 brief, intense workouts per week). When i did this, progress began to happen in leaps and bounds (without any changes to my diet what so ever). There is nothing magic about this, its actually very simply, in order for the body to adapt, the training stress needs to be threatening enough in order for the body to warrant an adaptive response, and if you train again before the response has had an opportunity to take place, then you'll be merely digging another hole into your body, and thus you'll see very little in the way of meaningful progress. Hope this helpsRob
Maxwellquick
Wow I never thought of this ... The thing is I don't feel like I am, I don't feel more tired than usual, I don't struggle to finnish my workout, I mean I do but in a normal way ! I'm gonna try to slow down a little, but it seems so weird when I have days without workout, like something is missing but I really will try =). Do you think if I do one day Insanity - one day rest all along the week, it's good ? Because I still would like to finnish Insanity =) Thank you for your help ! HIT Rob
Max.. Are you in any way results orientated? If yes, then i would ask why are you going to continue to use a training method (for up to two hours per day) that is not producing anything in the way of meaningful results??? Whether or not you "feel" overtrained, is subjective, because if your not making any meaningful progress training the way you are, then that's a very clear sign that something is wrong. NATURE is not fooled by these P90X, Insanity fitness, Zumba, Body Pump, Grits, instant abs, Pie in the sky ridiculous exercise programs that used seductive advertising to reel people in. NATURE dictates the rules here Max, and the rules are very simple, 1. you must train intensely enough to warrant an adaptive response from the body (IN A LOW IMPACT PROGRESSIVE MANNER), 2. you must give the body time to recover AND time to overcompensate, 3. eat well, sleep well, avoid stress and everything will fall into place. Best of luckRob
Maxwellquick
I understand and I think I'm gonna try to change my workouts then ... Because I know the problem is in my workouts because I couldn't eat better. Lately I did a lot of cardio with Insanity, so you think I should do more workout with weights instead ? (I usually do workouts from the XHIT channel on Youtube). Because I always thought for losing fat you needed first to do cardio and after workouts with weights ... Thanks =)
HIT Rob
The number one factor in any weight/fat loss program, is the maintenance of lean tissue, progressive strength training is the only reputable way to do that. When it comes to the fat loss itself, simply consume calories below your maintenance level. Its that simple:) With regards to this term "cardio" the fitness industry came up with, listen to what Dr Doug Mcguff (ER Physician, HIT trainer and Body By Science author) has to say If you want more links on cardio, proper (safe, time efficient) training that is congruent with our physiology, just let me know.. tylerpc73
If you are not seeing results it is probably a result of your diet not being on point. I suggest getting multiple smaller meals the definitely have a calorie excess and have a lot of protein. If you do these things you will see results.
